The ATL / Philly homie Dres The Beatnik made a trip up to NYC, to rock at the Roots Jam Session. Check the transcript below:
We showed up with no tix and ended up in VIP. We were told they were booked solid for performances and DRES got on stage and put on a historic show! He went through his human beatbox act to much fan adulation and followed that with his single, Microphone Fitness Session (My Mic Sounds Nice, Check One!). DRES closed out with popular show tunes that left everyone smiling and feeling good about the whole experience. Thanks to the supporters of dreams and the fans of ambition.

It’s magnificent to see the Dres super excited to rock in front of a new crowd, and them be just as excited to see him do his thing. Dres looked like he was having a ball. … I’m a lil salty them youngins ain’t know the theme song to Good Times though. 
And thank you Dres for closing your set with the same message I spread when I’m on the road. ATL ain’t all trapping funny dances.

Such a good look for Dres and the entire city of ATLANTA!! I’m glad the hip hop world sees that ATLANTA is not just Gucci…..AAAAAA!!!
