Since being added on the roster in 2005, Jeff Francoeur has been the future face of the franchise. With his impressive skils that he displays, we knew wthout a shadow of a doubt that he would take the Braves back to the World Series. Today the Braves announced that they have sent the future All-Star to the Double-A Mississippi Braves Minor league team. He’s hitting a struggling .234 with a .287 on-base percentage and a .34 slugging percentage. (For those who are not baseball savvy, those numbers pretty much means tath he doing aight but not good enough! LOL) This schocked me so much I HAD to put in the WTF category.

What the Braves are trying to do is make an example out of Francoeur. This dude is swinging for the fences at every at bat this season. You don’t win Championships that way. Look at the 2002 Angels. Contact hitting is the key; put the ball in play. Hopefully he’ll come back from Mississippi with his stuff together.
